Once we get through that, university would be a bliss. HOW WRONG IS THAT!!

I can't believe the sheer amount of time I've put in studying for the year-end exams. Still remembered that my dad was rather worried when I stayed over in school for the first time during week 7 or 8. Now I have been staying over so often that he would just say 'Remember to bring your toothbrush'. Hougang Mac and SMU are the other favourite haunts of us NUS Hougang Bizaders. My life is basically rotting at these places. But I am really glad that I have completed four papers with the last one coming up on Tues. Then I would be officially free!!

History paper was terrible. I was basically stunned for about 10 mins wondering which questions I should pick. In the end I chose this question that I remembered vaguely, 'How would you describe the social pathogens that lurked under the glided veneers of the European society after the Great War of 1914-1918?' coupled with some French words here and there. Hahah dun understand right? Neither do I. can see how desperate I was during the exam. But somehow still managed to crap out about 8 pages. Hope I dun do too badly!

The rest of the papers were manageable bordering hard, so I am really hoping very hard!! Have to go back to mugging for my last paper, hope everything goes well and I would be officially free on Tues (not inclusive of my golf practical exam on Wed. Must go watch more youtube so that I can improve on my swing shots).

Oh gosh, I just finished 1 chapter of my history notes. 5 more to go!! Hate studying for history.. never understand what the lecturer and tutor (who is the same person) is saying, dun understand the notes, dun understand the textbook. Dunno how I am going to do for the mid-term test on Wed. Must buck up!!

Was feeling miserable for the whole of Thurs and Fri after receiving my Statistic results. I was way below the mean. In fact I was way below Q1. So upset that I canceled golf and took a cab home. Then had to 'fight' with the rest of the class to answer questions during Stats class to gain more participation points. In the end also answered everything wrongly. But never mind, as long as I get the participation points. Yay!

But feeling better already, cause the lecturer personally emailed me on Sat to tell me that she tabulated my marks wrongly, so my marks 'improved' by 9 points, higher than mean already. Couldn't believe how fortunate I was. Summore the lecturer said there were only 2 mistakes, so was quite glad to be one of them, except that the other one was the top girl in my class. Thot with my increase, I could match her grades, but she told me this afternoon that hers improved by a further 4 marks. Darn! But its okie, she's a fellow NJCian too!

Right now, I am rather satisfied with my grades, which I rather not reveal here. I have decided not to give myself too much pressure to do well cause I have been pushing myself too hard recently. I actually don't sleep an average of 1 night each week so that I can rush through projects and tests. No weekend outings for a long time also. Everyday's just mugging and more mugging. Its the whole Bizad culture I guess, everyone is just so competitive. Like for managerial econs, the mean was 26 upon 30 and for stats the mean was 30 upon 40. Everyone is just chionging really hard right now such that if I don't do as much work as them each day I will feel guilty.

Everyone was complaining about the amount of work that we have to do on the train just now, as compared to other schools and other faculties. Of course we can't ascertain the real situation outside of our fac, but it just seems that Bizad people have more work to do than anyone else. Reports, projects, assignments, mid-term tests. It's just a never-ending cycle of more and more work.

And yet they say grades aren't everything. Haiz, think my 2 CCAs are not enough. I am still looking at opportunities where I can take part to spruce up my resume. A bit too pragmatic, but I've got no other choice. Think I may sign up for another 1 or 2 CCAs. But for now, I just wish I can get through my History Mid-term with good grades.

Oh happy happy!! I managed to get through dreaded Wednesday, where I had my Treaty of Versailles debate and my marketing presentation. Still can't believe I've finished both, cause I had spent so much time preparing for these 2 presentations. Slept only an average of 3 - 4 hours each night for a few days and I DIN GET TO SLEEP AT ALL on the night before the presentation. Still feeling quite sore about my group members, whom I stress are able to SU the mod due to them not being Bizad students. Luckily the adrenaline was enough to keep me awake till 3pm, where the lesson ended.

I am super behind schedule now. Missed a total of 7 lectures in 3 weeks, so trying to make it up now with the webcasts (for those with webcasts). I really wonder how my classmates spend their time. Mine is used for studying and projects everyday. It's so bad that my only TV time is on the bus, where I can watch my VCDs thru PSP. Speaking of VCDs, GOSH, Jumong is super exciting!! Must-watch!

I needa go out!! I haven stepped on Orchard Rd since school started (not including the 1 hr I spent there rushing to evaluate Borders and Kino for marketing assignment). I have even been to my favourite Suntec for weeks! I need a break!

2 presentations down, just left with 1 final Stats project and 1 history mid-term test before the start of the year-end tests!! Better buck up from now, next week aiming for 9 marks!

My very very first mid-term test is coming up this Wed. This is bad, considering the fact that I know nuts about it. Really regret choosing the History module. I go to class knowing nothing and leave class still knowing nothing. I copy my lecture notes knowing nothing, and I read my text knowing nothing. I am so screwed. Reserved 10 hours to mug 4 chapters, and the test is only half an hour with 25 MCQs! Wad a waste of my time. It's just so damn good! Soo Chin, WK, please carry on watching k, confirm wun regret one! I even pangseh homework to watch the show lor, very worth it!

Aiyah still have a lot of work to do lor. And that's beside my tuitions, CCAs, and my case and stock competitions. Heng ah!

But really too shagged after lesson, so I immediately rushed back home to cheong sleep, and now just woke up to do some readings and complete my tutorial. I am just so busy every single daay. It's just school, school and more school. And tuition, and CCA and mugging sessions. No time at all for fun!!

Seriously, I dun think I even mugged that hard during A levels. This entire week has been super hectic. There is not a day where I reached home before 12am. Even if I do reach home early, it would be to rest for an hour or so and then out to mug with friends. Monday was the ultimate, mugged till 2 plus am at Mac, and Thurs stayed in school till 1 plus am. Really crazy life in bizad!!

And it's not just me and my group of friends. Think everyone in general here are mugging like crazy.

I need my fun and games!

Woah, just came back from Jam and Hop @ Zouk. At first had my reservations about going, but now I feel that I have made the right decision in going after all.

Got there just before the closing of the admission for bizaders, at about 9.55pm. Of course, the pageant was already over, so it was just free and easy after that. Started off playing some games with the OG ppl. At first everyone was still rather reserved, but after a while it got really quite fun. One forfeit was to go up to a member of the opposite sex in the club and ask for the mobile no. I was made to dance on the dance floor with the rest of the OG guys. But heng I just kindaskipped it through quickly.

We got some drinks and went over to Phuture where the fun really started. It was really quite high dancing with the OG ppl and the mood over there was really fantastic, up till the moment I got sober. I think it has to be the longest I have ever danced. Like 2 hrs maybe? Anyway, we finished at about 3am and den Anthony, Shaoting and I took a cab over to her place for roti prata supper. Felt really bad that Anthony paid $40 over bucks for the jug of vodka lime just now so I volunteered to pay for the cab ride. Even with that it was barely half of wad he forked out for the entire night. Had a lot of fun crapping with the two of them. Wah, really haven seriously gone out till so late already. Really miss those days where the clique would go out and have fun and all.

Finally reached home at 5 plus in the morning, with my ears ringing heavily, and an emptied-out wallet. Triple tuition this weekend!! Utter crap!

After almost a whole week in NUS, finally have some free time to come online and blog a little. Not too happy about the school at the moment, particularly the part about having fixed modules, classes, tutorial groups and lectures. A lot of bizaders are damn unhappy as well, but as the profs said, they put in a lot of effort to group the LARGEST BIZAD INTAKE in the whole history of biz school into classes, so we shldn't try to disrupt the order of things, or so they said.

The first day was terrible. People in my OG weren't too fun. The loud ones were really loud, and the unenthu ones were really unenthu. Most of the new bizaders were super unenthu, so during games it got quite bad, esp when no one really put in the effort to participate in the games.

My OGL was super quiet. Super duper. I barely heard her speak 3 sentences throughout the entire day. She din organise any games or try to break the ice. I dun blame her, I think she really dun like OWeek.

Talks were boring and useless. Totally wasted my time.

Second day was much better. I was kinda shocked by the turnout. I think only 1/3 of the freshies turned up for the OWeek. All were still sian sian, and I actually spent the most part of the afternoon at the biz bus stop talking to my OG and a new friend. At least I found like-minded friends.

BBQ at night was surprising rather fun. Guess everyone was exhausted from the games, so they were all more toned down. Made new friends and all and left school feeling way better than the first day.

Today I attended the Buddhist Society Orientation. It was really the best orientation I've attended. The OGLs were really nice and took care of the freshies. As I came late, they really did a lot to make me feel more welcomed. The games were much more fun than those I had at Biz OWeek and the people there were warm and friendly. And real. Quite glad that I took the initiative to join the orientation.

Next week's got FIC, Rag and Flag, Dean's evening, field games. Hope I survive through!!

Just went to Esplanade with Jongie. Haven been to Esplanade for 6 weeks alr, felt so great to be there again!

Before that we went to Royce to buy a bar of chocolate to eat at Esplanade and I thot the packaging was very nice, so I decided to make something out of the packaging. And I managed to make a wallet out of it! It's the first time I made a wallet, so the workmanship wasn't so good, but I am really satisfied with my project, given that it was purely inspirational (It helped I saw a similar wallet on sale at Tangs last year).

Quite cool right? It's totally waterproof cause I have already applied a layer of plastic adhesive, and the inside of the wallet is actually the ingredient list. The sides of the wallet are all machine sewn, so it's really tight and secure. Only problem is the lack of slastic slots. As you can see, there is only one slot for EZlink, but that's cause I was quite tired alr, so din want to make more slots.

I shall come up with a proper design and make myself a new cool wallet for school!!

Woah, so exciting!! Ep 11 of Lovely Complex is finally here!! Just watched the first 5 minutes of the ep. Super exciting!! Esp when Nobu-chan kept wanting Risa to show her (emotional) breasts. They are quite a bunch of funny people, very different from my colleagues in school. For one, quite a few are smokers. I dun think I have any friends outside of NS who are smokers, so its quite an interesting change. But nonetheless they are still a bunch of nice chaps.

Something funny happened just now too. My boss, who is some Jap guy, was trying to figure out how to use his new Nokia N95. He ended up so frustrated that he threw his N95 on the floor!! My goodness!! 1000 bucks thrown just liddat. And the floor is not even carpeted! So another worker said if he din want, he could sell her for 300 bucks, and he said okie!! I have to clear plates, take orders, refill water, dry the forks and spoons, serve dishes, pack tissues and cutleries etc. Time passed so slowly.

At least they serve us meals after that. Though it's leftovers. But it's still 16 bucks (triple plus) worth of food. Like I've said, half my pay comes from the food. Bought a lot of things today. Went out to shop after tuition and got myself a pair of levis jeans, a pair of lawman khaki trousers and a black zara cardigan. Heheh, I am so gg to look my part as a future upcoming NUS bizader!

Anyway, I got hired as a waiter in this really quaint authentic French-Japanese restaurant called Ma Maison. It's at Bugis Junction, so must come and support me!! Its a little more pricy than usual though. Dinner costs about 20 odd for a main and a drink or side if I remembered correctly, but the set lunch is affordable, only 15 bucks or so. I will be officially starting work on Mon next week and although I get paid very little, I am actually quite looking forward to it. Heheh, can't wait!

Hah.. nothing to do again, so shall update a little here. I have completed my teaching stint at NJC, which, imo, was the highest point of my lack-lustre career life. I also went back to NCHS to teach during the 10th week, cause NJ's term ended in week 9. Basically nothing to do there, cause everyone was already in holiday mood. Felt quite bad though, cause my class was caught eating sweets in class by the discipline committee when I was in class, and worse still, I was eating with them. Din noe where to hide my face after that.

Went to laser my nose on the last day of school, cause I have always felt that my nose was patchy and uneven. It was a terrible experience, having endured 6 anaesthetic jabs ON MY NOSE and a whole lot of lasering. Some parts of my nose weren't even numb yet, so the lasering part hurt. A lot. And I could smell a chau-ta smoky smell, which incidentally, came from my nose being burnt.

I have this really bad bodily reaction, which is I laugh a lot when I am in pain. And that was what I did during the minor surgery. I laughed out really loud when the pain was too intense. I think the doctor was stunned by me. Heheh.

Anyway, I was left with a rather bloodied nose, which kinda healed quite badly. So now I have an uneven surfaced nose, with a lot of raw pink skin. Hope it heals soon. Very soon. More like immediate.

Since I couldn't go out after the surgery, I was stuck at home for more than a week. I was totally totally totally bored. It was just games, anime, meals, sleep and the cycle restarts all over again. It may sound quite fun to most, but try doing the same stuff over and over again every single day. SUPER SUPER BORING. How I wish I could go back and work then.

Granado Espada (the latest game I am playing) is starting to irritate me, and I have watched a lot of animes. So dun really noe what to do now.

Here's what I have watched. In a week.

Bleach

Claymore

La Corda d'Oro

Lovely Complex

Harukanaru Toki No Nakade Hachiyosho

Saiunkoku Monogatari

Bokura Ga Ita

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge

And a whole lot of other misc shows.

That's how bored I am.

Anyway, I really enjoyed some of the shows. Gonna list them here.

Harukanaru Toki No Nakade Hachiyosho

It's about a high school girl and 2 male friends who were sucked into an ancient kingdom. The girl later found out that she was the Priestess of Ryuujin, and was the only person that could conjure the four gods protecting the country to defeat the demon lord. Along with her 8 protectors (2 were her friends that travelled back in time with her), she had to find the 4 gods and save the kingdom. I loved the entire series. The show's really touching and the music is really good. Loads of fighting and confrontations between demons and the Hachiyou (protectors). Great ending too!!

La Corda d'Oro

There's a school where students are separated into the general education stream and the music stream. Naturally, the music stream people looked down on the general-ed students (their uniforms are different so they know). 6 members were chosen for a very important intra-school music competition. Somehow a girl from the gen-ed stream got in, and with the help of a magical violin, she survives her way thru the series of competition. This show is really cool, cause the whole setting is really realistic. It's the first time where the scores are really real and follows the music. Even when the people are playing the violin, the bow movements are actually synchronised with the music, and the fingering of the clarinet and trumpet are fairly accurate. Even in real life shows this will never happen, so I am really impressed. The starting theme is really cool too!!

Lovely Complex

There's this girl, who is always bickering with the guy in class. Somehow the girl kinda fell in love with the guy (who doesn't know), but they are rather mismatched, cause the guy is 16cm shorter than the girl. Although this is a shoujo anime, I really loved it. The setting is really realistic, and I liked that the show's funny without resorting to lame tricks. It gets rather sad towards the latter episodes, and I was so upset I couldn't go out of my house. IMO I think it's the best anime I have ever watched. Really good!!

Claymore

Its about a group of half-monster-half-women in the journey to kill demons. Exciting exciting. Loads of fighting again. Nothing comical inside (unlike Bleach), all dark and gloomy. But great nonetheless!!

I think I can really get used to teaching in a JC. Its the second day already and it's just getting more and more fun. The day is slack (I only have 9 tutorials a week!!) and the students are great! They are so interactive during the lessons (in a good way) and are so quiet. I din even have to raise my voice once throughout the lesson. Hahah, hopefully my 2K and 2A will also be like 2C. I am sure I am gg to miss teaching in NJ. Hopefully I can apply here again during term 3!

Just finished my first lesson with my class 2C. I have to say that this class 2C is so much quieter than my previous class 2C. All were quiet (really quiet) and super well behaved. I was expecting some people to talk amongst themselves, but I din catch anyone doing that at all. If my JC knowledge is good, I can really get used to teaching in NJ. But of course, my knowledge of econs is super darn low, not to mention the fact that I had forgotten most of the stuff that I could even remember. I mean, even I was surprised to get an A for Econs for A levels. I really dun noe much stuff. Even a simple chapter like Elasticity of Demand proved to be tough for me. I think I really have to read up more on Theory of Production and Costs today so that I will not screw up my tutorial tmr.

And NJ students, like before, are really very active in learning. I am already giving extra coaching for students tmr. When I was in NC, I had to literally beg students to come for extra lessons. It's such a bliss to be teaching here. If I was smarter. And if I could at least know someone in this entire school. I dun even dare to walk out of my cubicle!!

Can't believe it, actually sitting in the NJC staffroom right now. Kinda got a stint as an econs relief teacher here somehow, but I am not feeling really too good at the moment. I see a lot of familiar faces (teachers) but most of the teachers that taught me had left, so I practically know no one here. So lonely, dunno wad to do right now while waiting for the bell to ring for morning assembly.

And the worst thing is that I have only slept for 2.5 hours last night!! Cause I was tasked with teaching Theory of Cost and Production, which is my most dreaded chapter. Spent hours trying to find out what the hell is the MC curve, AFC curve, law of diminishing returns, returns to scale and a million other formulas. Thanks anyway, to Shufen and Soo Chin for helping me with all the concepts!!

Okie, gg for my first NJ morning assembly as a teacher!! Not too excited though, dunno who to stand with later

Just finished tuition with Ashwynn. He really saps all the energy out of me. So darn tired now. But still had the energy to meet up with Hui Chuan for dinner at Cartel. Kinda regret my actions now, having just realised how much fatter I am compared to 3 months before. Okie, I am gg to start running tmr. No matter wad. Even if it rains, I am gg to run in the rain. No pain, no lose (weight).

Symponic Winds haven replied me yet. But I got accepted into Mus'Art Wind Orchestra instead. What a turn of events. Not too sure whether I will agree, cause Mus'Art is so much better and more prestigious than Symphonic Winds, so a little stressed at the moment. Nvm, shall take some time to think abt it.

Oh yes, NJ called back, so I am officially gg to relief teach Economics at NJC. Hahah, can't believe I am actually gg back to teach Econs, esp when I was like one of the worst students there academically. Had to see the principal and undergo counselling in the past summore. Rather stressed now. Was told that I would be teaching Cost of Production. All my average cost, marginal cost, marginal propensity to consume, implicit and explicit costs, economies of scale... if the students were to question me, I am sure gg to get stumped. Die Die. Damn tired. My student was as usual, trying to slack as much as possible; still tried to show me some mahjong movie lah. Almost screamed at him, but forgot that I am only a tuition teacher, and so constrained myself. But think he could see that I was getting mad, so he kept his laptop. Got free ride home after that. If not have to travel an hour from Tiong Bahru again.

Anyway, went to the Bird Park with Slutty today. It was fantabulous! Haven stepped into Jurong Bird Park for almost a decade already, and I really felt like a child when I went in. Except that if I were a child, I would not have to pay the ridiculous $40 entrance fee (which will allow me to enter Bird Park, Zoo and Night Safari once each within one month. Meaning that I will be gg to the Zoo and Night Safari in the coming weeks! Which is actually quite exciting, considering how much fun we had at the bird park.)

The bird park was huge! There was actually a waterfall inside. In fact, its the largest MAN-MADE waterfall in the entire world! Slutty and I was like damn stunned when we saw the waterfall. It was majestic (for a man-made one. And for us, who have not seen a real one before.) and simply breathtaking. We felt like we weren't in Singapore at all. It was just amazing!

And the lory loft was wonderful! I was standing right at the top of the canopy with so many lories and the view was gr8! Except halfway it started raining and I was almost attacked by the lories who all wanted to take shelter with me. Super scary.

And it was really terrifying when we were inside the rainforest enclosure, cause we were in the same cage as the birds, and when they started flying ard us and ambushing us, it was really frightening. I actually shouted a few times. Can't believe I was actually scared of birds. Hahah.

And towards the end it started raining, so we tried to get onto the panorail, which by right costs $5. Somehow or other, we managed to catch that for free, and it was so cool! We could look at the aerial view of the entire park and zoom in close to the birds as well. Lurve it!

We had so much fun that we stayed all the way till the closing hours.

Den we went for dinner at KFC.

Just got back home.
