Went over to Montfort School today to support my students, Joshua and Angeline, in the National Inter-School Debate Competition Prelimanary Rounds. And they won!! Hahah.. I am so happy for them.. Angeline really surprised me. I couldn't believe how eloquent she was, apart from the minor hiccups in her speeches. Seriously if I were speaking in front of the audience at 14 years old, I would probably be shivering and trembling and lost for words. I am so glad that she performed so well for the competition.
Earlier in the day I stayed in the hall for the release of the 'O' Level results. Most of my students scored distinction for their Chinese. In fact, most scored A1, which is like even better than me. However, I saw many dejected faces too, probably cause they did not do well for their exams. Watching them kinda reminded me of my results day too.
Then even earlier, I was in 2A helping out with the new year decos. My 2A actually seemed rather fun after lessons. I rather enjoyed my time with them. Natasha took a lot of pics of herself, and some rather hilarious videos as well. Hope that they will grow to like me better!!
Even earlier, 2C made Louis very upset because of some minor incident and he actually ran out of my class tearing. I had to pause lesson and run around the school to look for him, as well as his form teacher, the discipline coordinator, and the school counsellor. Another wasted lesson. But I also saw another side of 2C. Some of the kids were actually quite nice in some ways. I learnt a lot more abt those kids today. In the end, all's well ends well.
Even Even Even Even earlier, I suffered a lot of teasing from 2D. Couldn't continue with the lesson after that. Really funny kids, some of them.
